Please note that the following are the best methods that we are currently aware of for searching probate in each Australian state and territory. When searching for probate notices in Queensland, check both the old and new search websites, as some notices appear on one, the other, or both. When searching for probate grants, in ‘Party Details,’ enter the deceased person’s last name and given name, and select ‘Deceased’ under ‘Party Role.’ |

The first link is to searchable gazettes where you need only the name of the deceased. Where you have an idea of the date of death, you can search a 30 day range using the second link. |
